Unitree H2

Featured Humanoid & General Purpose · Two Legs
Unitree's current full-size humanoid, unveiled October 20, 2025 in a launch video titled "H2 Destiny Awakening." At roughly 180–182 cm and 70 kg with battery, it carries 31 degrees of freedom — more articulation than the older H1/H1-2 — and is pitched by Unitree as built to "serve everyone safely and in a friendly way." Now sits above H1/H1-2 as Unitree's flagship full-size humanoid; H1 keeps only its 3.3 m/s top-speed record.

Reference Price

Unitree's own China-direct store lists the base H2 at $29,900. A U.S./North American partner, Toborlife, sells the same H2 Basic configuration, but the two sources checked for this page disagree on the exact number — RoboZaps cites $40,900, while Toborlife's own site currently lists $39,900 — so treat the North American price as roughly $39,900–$40,900 rather than a single fixed figure; neither includes duties or shipping. A higher-spec H2 Plus variant is listed at $100,000 direct from Unitree, while Toborlife separately offers an "H2 Edu Smart" configuration at $66,800 with expandable compute and optional dexterous hands. robotindex does not sell this product.

Insights

The base H2 ships with non-functional placeholder hands — confirmed by both RoboZaps and Toborlife — so a buyer expecting out-of-the-box manipulation should budget for Unitree's separately sold dexterous hands (such as the Dex5-1 or Dex3-1 lines used on other Unitree humanoids) before the robot can grasp or handle objects. Unitree positioned the H2 around articulation rather than raw speed: its 31 DOF is meaningfully higher than H1-2's 27, but H1 (not H1-2) still holds Unitree's claimed 3.3 m/s humanoid sprint record, a figure the H2 does not appear to challenge. Unitree filed for a Shanghai IPO in 2026 and disclosed in that prospectus that it shipped roughly 5,500 humanoids in 2025 — a figure the filing, citing industry data, describes as the global #1 — underscoring that the H2 launched into a company already scaling humanoid production rather than a first-generation effort.

Firmware & Community

Specs verified against Unitree's official H2 product page (unitree.com/H2), cross-checked against third-party spec trackers RoboZaps and Firgelli Robots, as of September 2026. Flagged as uncertain: exact height (1,800mm vs. 1,820mm depending on source) and the North American reseller price (Toborlife's own site currently shows $39,900 for the same configuration RoboZaps prices at $40,900). The non-functional placeholder hands on the base unit are confirmed by both third-party sources. Added to the directory as a featured replacement for the now-legacy H1/H1-2.
