UFACTORY xArm Series
A family of lightweight collaborative arms from UFACTORY, aimed at research, education and light automation. Three arms share a 700 mm reach and ±0.1 mm repeatability: xArm 5 Lite (5 axes, about $5,750), xArm 6 (6 axes, 5 kg, about $8,850) and xArm 7 (7 axes, about $10,450). UFACTORY also sells the Lite 6 desktop arm (about $3,300–$3,500) and the longer-reach UFACTORY 850. The software is open, with a BSD-licensed Python SDK and ROS packages; the arms are not.

Reference Price
Prices come from resellers and UFACTORY's US store and vary by region and date. Rough figures: Lite 6 about $3,300–$3,500, xArm 5 Lite about $5,750–$5,800, xArm 6 about $8,850, UFACTORY 850 about $9,850–$9,900 and xArm 7 about $10,450–$10,500. A European reseller lists the xArm at €6,360 including VAT. Grippers and accessories are typically extra. UFACTORY's own store could not be read directly, so these are not official prices. robotindex does not sell this product.
Insights
The xArm is a low-cost alternative to traditional cobots: UFACTORY's earlier Kickstarter priced the six-axis xArm at $4,999, and the later Lite 6 campaign offered a desktop arm to early backers for $1,199, compared with the $35,000-plus that arms like the UR5e command. The trade-offs are payload and finish. The Lite 6 carries only 600 g, and the xArm 5 Lite has five axes, which limits complex orientations. This catalog's Open Source badge does not apply: UFACTORY's official xArm-Developer GitHub organization publishes a BSD-3-Clause Python SDK (supporting the 850, xArm 5/6/7 and Lite 6) plus ROS and ROS 2 packages, but the repositories contain no hardware designs, so the arms are closed commercial products with an open software layer. The xArm 7 adds a redundant seventh axis for reaching around obstacles, and the 850 is the precision option at ±0.02 mm.
Verified against UFACTORY's US store listing for the Lite 6 (which also lists xArm 5/6/7 and 850 specs), reseller listings (Top3DShop, Generation Robots, RoboDK, SprutCAM, robotsourced.com), a Hackster report on the Lite 6 Kickstarter, and UFACTORY's official xArm-Developer GitHub organization (xArm Python SDK, BSD-3-Clause), as of October 2026. UFACTORY's own store (store.ufactory.cc) could not be fetched, so nothing was read from it directly. Flagged as uncertain: sources disagree on the xArm 5 Lite payload (3 kg on UFACTORY's US store and robotsourced.com, 5 kg on Top3DShop; 3 kg is used) and on the Lite 6 (600 g and 0.5 mm on UFACTORY's US store versus 1 kg and 0.2 mm in a 2019 Kickstarter report, which is not treated as current); prices mix the US store with reseller listings; and the image shows a white xArm-style arm that was not matched to a specific model. The image background was cleaned to pure white to match the page frame. Tagged New as a newly added listing. robotindex does not sell this product.
