Reference Price
Built to order — SuperDroid Robots does not list a fixed price and instead quotes through its own configuration tool. The Lite variant is positioned as the lower-cost entry point into the Rocky platform, using a simpler chassis while keeping the same actuators and electronics as the full production model.
Sensors & Hardware
Joints use quasi-direct-drive actuators with no external gearbox: 16 high-torque modules (120 N·m peak, up to 200 rpm) across the legs and waist, plus 6 compact modules (14 N·m peak, up to 315 rpm) for finer joints. Each actuator carries dual 14-bit encoders, backed by a torso-mounted IMU for balance. Networking covers Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a CAN bus.
Insights
Rocky Lite uses the same 120 N·m quasi-direct-drive actuators and electronics as SuperDroid's full production Rocky biped, cutting cost mainly through a simpler sheet-metal chassis in place of machined aluminum. It remains built-to-order, with pricing available only through SuperDroid's own configurator rather than a published retail price.
