Sharpa North

New Humanoid & General Purpose · Wheeled / Mobile Base
A full-body humanoid from Sharpa, the Singapore-headquartered robotics company behind the SharpaWave dexterous hand, unveiled at CES 2026 as its first autonomous full-body robot. Sharpa lists 67 degrees of freedom, of which 44 are in two tactile-sensing hands, on a wheeled platform. A vision-tactile-language-action model called CraftNet drives it. Aimed at service work in hotels, retail, and food and beverage, manufacturing and assembly, and research, not at home use. Inquiry-only.

Reference Price

Sharpa publishes no price; the North page offers only an enquiry form. One third-party site lists $130,000 and describes the robot as inquiry-based and at prototype stage, but that figure is unverified and may be a placeholder. Humanoids Daily separately reports about $50,000 per SharpaWave hand, also unverified, while another outlet says hand pricing is undisclosed. robotindex does not sell this product.

Insights

Sharpa was founded in 2024 and is led by co-founders with a Hesai (lidar) background, including Li Yifan, Xiang Shaoqing, and Sun Kai. It announced a financing of more than RMB 4.5 billion (about US$668 million) at a roughly RMB 22 billion (about US$3.3 billion) post-money valuation on September 3, 2026, with Alibaba, Tencent, Meituan, and JD.com among the investors. At CES 2026 it demonstrated ping-pong and card handling and four days of autonomous operation. Reported deployments include container handling at an A*STAR port and a Dairy Queen outlet in Shanghai running a 55-step ice-cream workflow, though the restaurant source does not itself name the robot as North. Sharpa launched a separate robot, D01, at IROS 2026, which this page does not cover. The Open Source badge does not apply: nothing suggests open hardware or software.
Verified against Sharpa's North page (sharpa.com/pages/north), its SharpaWave hand page, its CES 2026 announcement, and press coverage (KrASIA, Humanoids Daily, Mike Kalil), as of October 2026. Flagged as uncertain: Sharpa's North page has no spec table, so the arm, neck, waist, payload, and chassis details were not found; total DOF is 67 on Sharpa's page and 63 at Humanoids Daily, and 67 is used; height, weight, battery, compute, and price come from a single third-party site (humanoid.guide) and are unconfirmed; hand figures such as the 20 N fingertip force are from Sharpa's SharpaWave page, which also lists a lower-spec variant, and which variant North uses is not stated; one outlet quotes 30 N fingertip force, which matches the sensing range rather than the force rating. The supplied image shows North on a plain white base with no wheels visible, so the wheeled description comes from press. Funding is in RMB (a CoinEx headline that gives dollars is wrong). Product image: Sharpa. The supplied image had a transparent background, which was set to white.
