PAL Robotics TIAGo
A configurable mobile manipulator from PAL Robotics of Barcelona, built for research and assistance work and introduced in 2015. A 54 cm round base carries a torso that lifts 35 cm, a head with an RGB-D camera, and no arm, one 7-DoF arm or two (TIAGo++), each lifting about 3 kg. The base can be differential or omnidirectional, it runs ROS on an Intel i5 or i7, and PAL sells it by quote rather than at a listed price.

Reference Price
PAL Robotics does not publish a price for TIAGo and sells each robot by quote, since the base, arms, grippers, computer and software packages are all configurable. The only figure found is for the dual-arm TIAGo++, which The Robot Report put at roughly €90,000 (about $100,000) at its June 2019 launch, with the final cost varying by configuration. Treat that as a historical reference, not a current price. robotindex does not sell this product.
Insights
TIAGo is one of the most widely used research mobile manipulators in Europe: PAL says it has been in service for more than nine years, in 27 countries and about 40 collaborative research projects. It launched in 2015, the dual-arm TIAGo++ followed in 2019, and in 2023 PAL added TIAGo Base and the professional TIAGo Pro; in September 2026 it introduced a standalone TIAGo Pro Arm for manipulation and physical-AI research. The family is built on ROS with open simulation models and tutorials, but the robot itself is a commercial, quote-only product, so this page does not carry the Open Source badge. The robot in the photo is a dual-arm TIAGo++ with two parallel grippers, each holding a cup.
Verified against PAL Robotics' TIAGo product page (pal-robotics.com), its TIAGo datasheet and PAL OS 25.01 hardware documentation, its company timeline, The Robot Report's TIAGo++ launch article, and a September 2026 report on the TIAGo Pro Arm, as of October 2026. Flagged as uncertain: PAL publishes no price and the €90,000 figure is a 2019 launch estimate for the TIAGo++; weight is 70 kg on the datasheet but 60 kg for the Lite in the documentation, and top speed is 1.5 m/s on the datasheet but 1 m/s in the documentation; the documentation also summarises the arm as 4 DoF with a 3-DoF wrist while the datasheet and product page say 7 DoF, so the 7-DoF figure is used; arm reach is 87 cm for TIAGo and 92 cm for TIAGo++; the photo shows a dual-arm TIAGo++ and the specs cover the family; and TIAGo Pro is a separate, newer line not described in detail here.
