Reference Price
Maytronics' own current US store lists the Dolphin Premier at $2,499, while an independent Bob Vila review cites retailer pricing of $1,299–$1,397. That gap is large enough that either figure should be checked against a live retailer rather than treated as fixed.
Sensors & Hardware
The Premier uses CleverClean navigation to scan the pool and adapt to obstacles — Maytronics' current official name, though some older/third-party sources call it "SmartNav." It's track-driven with dual scrubbing brushes and 4,500 GPH suction, using a bottom-load, interchangeable filter system (bag plus fine/ultra-fine cartridges, down to ~2 microns). No app, Bluetooth, or WiFi; manual start with weekly timer.
Insights
Maytronics' own materials consistently name the Premier's navigation system "CleverClean," but at least one third-party listing and an older review call it "SmartNav" instead. Separately, Maytronics' current price ($2,499) differs sharply from retailer pricing cited in an independent Bob Vila review ($1,299–$1,397).
Firmware & Community
Closed platform
Dolphin Premier has not released a public SDK, firmware repo, or developer API. Not currently listed in Builds & Mods.
Verified against Maytronics' own official store pages (maytronics.com, dolphinofficial.com) and an independent Bob Vila review. Price differs sharply between Maytronics' own current listing ($2,499) and retailer pricing cited by Bob Vila ($1,299–$1,397) — confirm current price at a specific retailer before buying. Navigation is officially named "CleverClean"; a conflicting "SmartNav" name appears on at least one third-party listing and should not be treated as authoritative. Steps are not explicitly claimed as a cleaned surface in Maytronics' own marketing copy, despite floor/wall/waterline cleaning being confirmed.
